Beginner stained glass classes are perfect for total newbies! Maybe you’ve always wanted to try your hand at stained glass but you aren’t ready to commit to a full 4-6 week course just to see if you enjoy it. Maybe you want to be in and out with a suncatcher in-hand, feeling accomplished, and having learned the basics. This class is perfect for you!
What you’ll make: a real stained glass suncatcher using the tiffany (copper foil) method, four core beginner patterns are always available, seasonal options are available for specific dates. Current design offerings can be viewed here.
What you’ll learn: basic tool use and safety (scoring tool, running pliers, grozing pliers, grinder, soldering iron), basic material use and safety, beginner methodology and minimum required technical skill to produce a stained glass suncatcher.
This class offering is available for groups of 1-3 people and typically takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Must be 12 or older. Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
If your piece isn't completed within the scheduled class time, a follow-up session to finish may be needed. A fee applies for return sessions to cover studio time.

Ready to level up? If you’ve taken a beginner class or already have some hands-on experience with basic stained glass art, intermediate classes step things up with smaller pieces, tighter curves, and more advanced technique. You’ll walk away with a more intricate suncatcher and a deeper feel for precision work within stained glass art.
Prior experience with a beginner class is highly recommended before booking intermediate. Intermediate patterns are designed for students who know the basics and are ready to jump into learning more advanced techniques. The time allotted for the class does not include time to teach a student the basics and students may not complete their project if they do not come into the class with basic knowledge of tool and material use. My goal is for everyone to leave feeling successful, not overwhelmed. If you’re brand new to stained glass, starting with a beginner class first will set up for a much better experience!
What you’ll make: a more detailed suncatcher with more pieces, more detail, and more intricate curves than a beginner project. This level of work really opens up what choices we have! Design availability varies and current available designs can be viewed here.
What you’ll learn: advanced cutting techniques for tighter curves and smaller pieces, refined soldering (clean beads, corners, and joints), and additional finishing methods that may include lead came for a nice clean border on your piece.
This class offering is available for groups of 1-3 people and typically takes 3 to 3.5 hours.
Must be 12 or older. Guests under 18 must have a parent or guardian present on-site for the class.
If your piece isn't completed within the scheduled class time, a follow-up session to finish may be needed. A fee applies for return sessions to cover studio time.
